Kids’ Bike Rental
Are the grandkids visiting for a week or two and would love to ride a bike? Don’t want to buy one because they’ll have outgrown it by the next visit? Or your just visiting and you want your kids to have a blast riding around?
We’ve got you covered, with kids’ bikes available to rent for up to one month.
Prices start at a flat rate of $50 for up to one week. After that, rentals are $15 per additional week, for up to four weeks total. If you’d like to rent a bike for longer than four weeks, please email us at programs@ketchaoutdoors.org.
Every kids bike rental also includes a helmet.
By renting from us, you’re also supporting a nonprofit community bike shop working to make biking accessible for everyone.
How it works
Pick your dates, and the bike you want below, and follow the booking instructions. Our shop is closed on Sundays and Mondays, so those dates cannot be selected as return dates. If you intend to return your bike on a Sunday or Monday, simply choose Tuesday as your return date. You can still return the bike on Sunday or Monday, and you'll only be charged for the days you actually have the bike.
Pick up the bike and helmet at 155 Washington Ave, Portland, ME during our open hours: Tuesday - Friday, 11am - 6pm, and Saturday, 10am - 4pm.
When you pick up the bike, we’ll have you sign a waiver, and will collect full payment.
Please return kids’ bikes only when the shop is open.
